It even had the fantastic green interior, just like in the one that Doug destroyed. That’s not enough to make me buy such a horrendously unreliable PoS, however. Interiors can be changed, ancient Audi kwality cannot.

That sounds great! Looks good. Save it.
No, I’m not going to buy it. I already
have a biturbo
B5 S4 that I have to remove the front end of to do some repairs.

Yes, a 20 minute job you’ll do less than a dozen times in the course of ownership? I still want one of these. They’re sick.

you are right and wrong. after a few times it is only a 20 minute project. Your wrong in the fact that every gawd dam thing requires you to pull the front off. I think I did it 3 times over the course of 6 months. Its step 1 for half of the repairs. You are correct in that they are a sick vehicle. I desperately miss mine and would love to have another.

They are bringing it back, so you’re in luck.

They are.
And the fact of the matter is, there are a TON of cars that need their fronts removed to do any work on them nowadays.

I know the want is strong, but I think you would have better luck with a Volvo XC70.

I don’t see how you could do sensibly better on a transverse platform with an engine that is almost the biggest available on the platform while maintaining a good packaging.
A nd to be fair it doesn’t look to be that snug up front :
Would still choose a 2.7T over a 4.2 if i had the choice (and both in good working condition obviously).

The Allroad is longitudinal (as are most Audis). If you mean how could the Volvos with a big engine (transverse inlines) do better, then I agree they probably don’t and also have horrible turning radiuses because of it.

My bad, i obviously me ant longitudinal, not transverse :)
